This past weekend I had the opportunity to cook breakfast for family and friends. I enjoy cooking in the morning for loved ones because I feel like they appreciate it. Also, breakfast I would say is my one confident area in cooking. Others I am not to sure about yet! Below is a picture of the breakfast I prepared for Cole and I.
Most of the time I cook bacon or sausage, eggs, and hash browns on the stove. However, this weekend I tried something a little different. I used a t-fal actifry to cook the hash browns and I think they turned out really good! Check out frequently asked questions to learn more about the actifry. Fun fact I learned from this video: I had no idea the frying pan piece came out of the actifry!
So some of you may be thinking- Is this meal healthy? I thought she was cooking healthy meals? Getting your metabolism going in the morning is very important- you can do this by having breakfast! This breakfast actually is not all that bad for you: the bacon and eggs give you protein and hash browns give you carbs for energy throughout the day. I would not have this breakfast every morning but why not indulge on the weekends?! In addition, the t-fal actifry uses not much oil at all- basically a tablespoon. I strongly suggest you check it out! The only downfall I can point out about the actifry is it takes quite a while for potatoes, in particular, to cook. In the video he set the timer for 10 minutes, but I found I needed to cook them for at least 30 minutes to get the crispy hash brown we enjoy. So if you are going to use one grab a cup of coffee and chill for a while!
